No matter where I am in the world, at the end of a busy travel day, nothing beats an indulgent Lobster Mac & Cheese with something bubbly.

What is the most unique experience you’ve put together for a guest?

A private chef dinner in the penthouse serenaded by a local guitarist.

If you only had 24 hours in Huntington Beach, where would you visit?

Hopefully I’d have my best fur friend in-tow and we’d be off to have some fun at the famous Huntington Dog Beach. Then a stop in at the Museum of Surf, Happy Hour with breathtaking ocean views at Treehouse at Tanner’s then ending with a firepit night with friends.

What do you believe is the greatest hidden gem in Huntington Beach?

Has to be the Huntington Dog Beach, there is no happier beach than this beautiful spot.

In your opinion, what is the best time of year to visit Huntington Beach?

With year-round sunshine and surf, any time of year will make for a great visit to Huntington Beach. But for a true-blue So Cal experience, one can’t beat a California summer.

Why do you travel?

Adventure is in my nature and exploring different cultures, locations, and seeing the beautify of the natural world feeds my soul.

How do you define luxury?

However, you can be present, feed your soul, and indulge in the good things life can offer. This can range from having the most decent dinner and drinks to turning the work emails off, slipping on a pair of flip-flops and getting some much-needed ocean air. Laid-back luxury is where it’s at for me.

What does it feel like to wrap yourself in Frette?

It beckons the feeling of being surrounded by a warm summer wind with a deep breath in to take in the moment.

The resort was designed to bring the energy and beauty of ocean inside, with neutral colours of sand and touches of oceanic blues, the property envelopes each guest in nature’s beauty from the second they step in the door. Open terraces quietly take in the view and invite the ocean breeze in at every level, while garden vegetation envelopes, beautifies and masks the sound of human transit surrounding the site. As if you were crossing dunes to a deserted beach, the landscaping emulates the natural characteristics of the approach to the Pacific Ocean. Banks of indigenous flora expected and unexpected simultaneously.

What are three fun facts about the property that many are surprised to learn?

Guests can indulge in beach butler service that provides not only pedi-cab transportation to and from the beach but
chairs, umbrellas, towel, games and can even arrange beach picnics to enjoy under the California sun.
Each guest is provided a cozy Frette jersey print robe to enjoy during their stay as well as keepsake branded flip-flops.
The resort features a romantic Balinese-inspired spa with a celebrated couple’s room featuring a centrepiece soak tub.

A morning at Paséa Hotel starts by placing a call down to room service to fuel up with a healthy breakfast and a step out on the balcony to watch the sunrise and the surfers while cozy in a custom fluffy Frette jersey bathrobe Since all rooms have an ocean view, this instantly inspires one to chill out, relax, and take it all in. After a peaceful morning, I’d be off, board in hand, to be chauffeured down to the waves by a Paséa Beach Butler to take in the Huntington Beach surf. After adventuring through the sea and surf, a big lunch is in order where I’d head over to Tanner’s for their award-winning Shishito Burger followed by cocktails in a luxe cabana at the 9th Island pool.

Then for a blissful escape, I’d discover the offerings of Aarna Spa with an Ocean Devotion Treatment which uses hot stones with Balinese massage techniques to the sound of ocean waves. After taking in the eucalyptus steam room and whirlpool, it’d be time to get ready for the night. On the plan would be Happy Hour upstairs at Treehouse for epic sunset viewing, then shopping and dinner at Pacific City.
